But there are also some differences between the languages that are important to know about. This sessoin will compare and contrast ActionScript 3 and Java, teaching some of the basics of the ActionScript 3 language from the viewpoint of developers that know Java. The speakers, James Ward and Chet Haase, both came to the ActionScript 3 language from a background developing Java applications. This presentation represents some of the similarities and differences between the languages that struck them while learning AS3.
